The All Parties Hurriyat Conference, has strongly condemned India's actions of suppression and the use of force in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the leaders asserted that Kashmir remains an internationally recognized dispute, with its political future to be determined through a UN-supervised plebiscite.
In statements issued in Srinagar, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas criticized Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s praise for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the occupied territory.
He described Omer Abdullah’s comments as an insult to the Kashmiris who had voted for him, expecting him to advocate for the political rights of the Kashmiri people.
He reiterated that the Kashmir dispute is undeniable and cannot be dismissed by any power, including India.
Other Hurriyat leaders also condemned Abdullah’s remarks. The leaders stressed that Indian Prime Minister’s visit to Kashmir was part of an attempt to further the anti-Kashmir agenda of Hindutva organizations like RSS.
They called Modi the face of Indian oppression in Kashmir and dismissed his so-called development efforts as a mere facade to mask the ongoing repression and occupation.
