Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood says government is planning to allocate five billion rupees for undergraduate scholarships.

Addressing a seminar in Islamabad, he said girls would be given preference in these scholarships that would help in increasing literacy ratio among women.

The Minister said the government is considering launch of evening classes especially for girls in the educational institutions.
