Russian warship Moskva is "seriously damaged" after an explosion triggered a fire on the vessel.

Russia's defence ministry said as a result of the fire, ammunition detonated on the ship and it was seriously damaged. It said the cause of the fire is being determined and the crew has been evacuated.

Ukrainian officials claimed the vessel had been hit by Ukrainian rockets in the Black Sea.

The defence ministry also claimed Russia has gained full control of Mariupol after more than 1,000 Ukrainian marines surrendered.

Meanwhile, the head of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has said the world does not give equal attention to emergencies affecting black and white people.

He said the whole attention to Ukraine is very important of course, because it impacts the whole world. But even a fraction of it is not being given to Tigray, Yemen, Afghanistan and Syria and the rest of the world.

He said he needs to be blunt and honest that the world is not treating the human race the same way. Some are more equal than others.
