Indian National Congress party has won a key provincial election in Indian state of Karnataka, defeating the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.

According to the Election Commission of India out of 224 seats Congress party bagged 135.

A party needs to win in at least 113 Assembly constituencies to form the government in the state.
