The 38th death anniversary of renowned hero of Punjabi films, Iqbal Hassan was observed on Monday.
He began his professional career as an extra actor in the 1965 film "Punjab Da Sher" with villain Mazher Shah and then began performing lead role from film "Sassi Punnu" with Naghma as her heroine.
During his twenty years long career, he acted in nearly three hundred films including "Ye Aman" "Bhola Sajan, "Hathkari", "Khanzada", "Nishan", "Dara Baloch" and "Toofan", out of which he acted as the solo hero in fifty films.
He has also co-produced an Urdu film "Badlay Gi Dunya Saathi" and performed along Muhammad Ali and Zeba.
He expired in a car accident during 1984, on returning from shooting of Punjabi film "Juura".
