PM arrives in Islamabad after successful visit to KSA, Azerbaijan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Islamabad after completing his successful visit to Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan.

In Azerbaijan, he represented Pakistan at Climate Action Summit COP-29 in Baku and called on the global community to honour its financial pledges to deal with the issue of climate change.

Shehbaz Sharif also hosted the Climate Finance Roundtable Conference, which was attended by several global leaders. He highlighted the challenges faced by developing countries, particularly Pakistan, which contribute the least to the emission of harmful and polluting gases yet are severely affected by the adverse impacts of climate change.

Besides, the Prime Minister participated in a high-level event "Glaciers 2025: Actions for Glaciers" organized by Tajik President for the protection of glaciers.

Shehbaz Sharif also held informal meetings with world leaders on the sidelines the 29th Climate Action Summit Cop-29 in Baku.

The meetings with these leaders were very fruitful, which will help further strengthening relations with brotherly countries.

In Saudi Arabia Prime Minister participated in the extraordinary Joint Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh in which he presented Pakistan's stance on Israeli atrocities in Palestinian territories including Gaza.
