The Steering committee on Chashma Right Bank Canal Project has directed WAPDA to complete the feasibility of the project within nine month as this project is vital for agricultural development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The meeting of the Committee was held in Islamabad today with its Chairman, Defense Minister Pervaiz Khan Khattak in the chair.

Addressing the meeting, the Chairman said this project would be directly beneficial for irrigating 2,60,000 acres of barren land in KPK and it should be treated as special project. 

He said that the project has already been delayed considerably and no more delay in this regard would be tolerated.

The committee said the project already has taken a lot of time to get its feasibility approved and it should be prepared at the earliest so it can be started the next year.

The meeting was attended by Minister for Kashmir Affairs Ali Amin Gandapur, Chairman CPEC standing Committee Shair Ali Arbab, Special Assistant Arbab Shazad, KPK Finance Minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra and other Senior officials of Federal and Provincial departments.
