CM Sindh orders rewriting, computerization of Record of Rights

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed to rewrite and computerize the Record of Rights of lands in the province.

Chairing a meeting of the Board of Revenue in Karachi, he said that the record of rights is a legal document that cannot be declared suspicious without hearing the parties and the people who have ownership rights are facing issues.

He said that the transparency and protection of ownership rights must be ensured while re-writing the record of lands.

The chief minister also directed to make the process of record re-arrangement easy and steps must be taken to ensure the record of the lands is re-registered from scratch.

Syed Murad Ali Shah said that the work of developing software of the Record of Rights should be assigned to the new IT company of Sindh government and develop software within four months.

Earlier, Sindh Chief Secretary Syed Asif Hyder Shah briefed the meeting and informed that the Record of Rights is reorganized or rewritten every 30 years and last time it was reorganized in 1985.
