China has called for an immediate end to the war in Gaza and an effective international peace conference for a concrete timetable to implement a two-state solution to the Palestinian issue.

After talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry in Cairo, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said the conflict in Gaza is causing massive casualties among innocent civilians, leading to serious humanitarian disasters.
