Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has announced that the federal government will construct M-6 and M-9 motorways from Sukkur to Hyderabad and Hyderabad to Karachi.
Addressing meeting of federal cabinet in Islamabad on Tuesday, he also announced to dualize the most important highway of Balochistan the N-25 which links Chaman, Quetta, Kallat, Khuzdar and Karachi.
The Prime Minister said the national exchequer saved due to reduction of petroleum prices in the international market will be used for this project.
He said it will be a dual carriageway but will be renovated as per motorway standards.
The Prime Minister said the same savings from petroleum prices will also be used to complete Phase 2 of the Kachhi Canal project, which will irrigate hundreds of acres of land in Balochistan province.
He said this project will ensure prosperity across Balochistan and all over Pakistan.
Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan's four provinces are like four brothers and will share the resources equally and fairly.
He said prosperity of Pakistan is linked with prosperity of Balochistan.
Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfaraz Bugti, who was present at the federal cabinet meeting, thanked the Prime Minister for the project to restore N-25 and other development projects for the people of Balochistan.
Earlier, the Prime Minister while once again condemning the killing of eight Pakistanis in Sistan, Iran said our Foreign Minister has contacted his Iranian counterpart and we are hopeful that the Iranian government will bring the perpetrators of this heinous act to justice.
The Federal Cabinet approved the amendment to the Petroleum Products (Petroleum Levy) Ordinance 1961. This amendment will increase national revenues.
The cabinet also accorded approval to the Sustainable Investment Sukuk Framework for the issuance of domestic securities by the government. This will be helpful in issuing Sukuk for local sustainable investment, under which projects related to sustainable environment and renewable energy can be funded.
