Federal Minister for the Board of Investment, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh has emphasized to strengthen Pakistan’s business environment through investment, innovation and export-led growth.

Addressing the 17th Edition of the Brand of the Year Awards 2026 as the Chief Guest in Karachi, he said the event serves as an important platform to acknowledge and encourage the contributions of Pakistan’s business community.

Terming entrepreneurs as backbone of economic development, Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh stressed to promote Pakistan globally as a competitive destination for business and investment.

Highlighting the country’s economic challenges, he said with many people living below the poverty line, our priority should be to generate sustainable business opportunities, create employment and equip youth with quality education, particularly in technology and modern skills.

He said the government is introducing reforms to remove unnecessary barriers and facilitate investment.
