Coordinator on Culture to the Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Farah Deeba has emphasized that promoting art and culture is a key priority for the current government.
In an interview with Radio Pakistan’s correspondent Qasim Bukhari, Farah Deeba, recently appointed Coordinator on Culture by Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, highlighted her commitment to supporting the artist community.
She noted that the Pakistan Muslim League-N has a long history of supporting artists, who she described as national treasures bringing joy through their work. She assured that the government is dedicating all available resources to their welfare.
Farah Deeba said that government is also focused on welfare of journalists, with a health insurance registration process for working journalists recently launched under the PDM-led government.
She said she is organizing a program at Alhamra Lahore to feature poetry by renowned poet S.M Sadiq.
Reflecting on her late father, the celebrated actor Muhammad Saeed Khan commonly known as Rangeela, Farah Deeba shared that his lifelong mission was to bring happiness to people, a legacy he continued even in his final days.
She said that the PML-N government is tirelessly working to provide relief to the public and the revival of the national economy is one of PML-N's government achievements.
