Celebrations in connection with birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak held in Nankana Sahib

The celebrations in connection with 555th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak were held at Gurdwara Janam Asthan in Nankana Sahib on Friday.

Sikh pilgrims from India and World over are attending religious rituals.

Minister for Religious Affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain attended the main ceremony at Gurdwara Janam Astan in Nankana Sahib.

Sikh pilgrims are being provided free food, transportation, and medical facilities during their stay in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Sikh pilgrims visited the historical Gurdwara Babe Di Bair Sahib in Sialkot to pay tribute to the founder of Sikh religion, Baba Guru Nanak.

Speaking on the occasion, caretaker Sardar Jaskaran Singh Sidhu expressed gratitutude to the government of Punjab for providing a peaceful environment to Sikh pilgrims to perform their religious rituals.

Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has extended warm greetings to the Sikh community in Pakistan and around the globe on the auspicious occasion of Baba Guru Nanak’s birth anniversary celebrations.

In a statement, Ayaz Sadiq highlighted Baba Guru Nanak’s teachings of love for humanity, peace and brotherhood.

The Speaker warmly welcomed Sikh pilgrims from across the world who have traveled to Pakistan to participate in the celebrations.

He reaffirmed that all minorities in Pakistan enjoy equal rights and protections under the law.

The Speaker also praised the contributions of the Sikh community in Pakistan’s progress and development.
