Pakistan Army has successfully rescued at least fifteen passengers who were stranded in Deosai due to heavy snowfall.
On Thursday, these passengers travelling in two vehicles were en route from Gultari to Skardu when they stranded in Deosai due to heavy snowfall.
Pakistan Army initiated an aerial and ground rescue operation to evacuate the stranded passengers in Deosai.
A joint team of Pakistan Army personnel set out on foot to rescue stranded tourists.
The ground team of Pakistan Army continued the rescue operation despite extreme cold and snowfall and successfully rescued the passengers.
Two army helicopters also participated in the rescue operation.
The locals and the stranded passengers thanked the Pakistan Army for the timely rescue operation.
