Pro Dr Aqeela Asif (Social Scientist): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken visionary initiatives to make our youth self-reliant on economic front. I think that it is one of the key areas where the government is paying utmost attention. Moreover, we need reforms in agricultural, tax and energy sectors to improve our economy. Furthermore social sector and digitalization are also some sectors which need to be improved for economic uplift of our youth. After taking these measures we can move our country towards a welfare state. We must also import expertise and best international practices as per our national requirements to have a well thought planning for improvement of different sectors. We have to introduce well-conceived policies for the uplift of these sectors. In this regard, academia and businesses must also have close coordination for equipping our youth with modern skills and technologies. We need to introduce technical courses in our Universities which may impart different skills and techniques to our youth regarding setting up new businesses and startups.
