At the UN, Pakistan has called for political dialogue to address Yemen crisis.
During the UN Security Council briefing on Yemen, Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the the UN Munir Akram termed the humanitarian crisis in Yemen as one of the gravest in the world with nearly half the population facing severe food insecurity, and with 3.5 million suffering from acute malnutrition.
Munir Akram underlined the need for a robust and coordinated international effort to address the humanitarian crisis. He also urged the donor countries to increase their contributions to the 2025 humanitarian response plan for Yemen.
