Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal visited the residence of martyred Frontier Corps personnel Akmal Hussain in Pahlwari village, Shakargarh, today.

 The Minister commiserated with the bereaved family and offered Fateha for the departed soul.

Talking to news persons on this occasion, Ahsan Iqbal said that the entire nation stands united in fight against terrorism.

He strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Jaffer Express, calling it a brutal act.

Ahsan Iqbal reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring peace and security in the country and no country would be allowed to facilitate use of its soil against Pakistan.

Highlighting the government's economic achievements, Ahsan Iqbal said that economic indicators are showing positive trends due to prudent policies.

He said that the International Monetary Fund has also expressed satisfaction on economic policies of Pakistan.
