Pakistan has reaffirmed its full support to the call by the United Nations Human Rights Office for an investigation into gross and systematic human rights violations in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.       

Speaking in a debate at UN General Assembly, Pakistan's outgoing Permanent Representative Dr. Maleeha Lodhi said the High Commissioner of Human Rights must be assisted in executing its mandate effectively and for implementing its own recommendations and reports, especially the ones on Kashmir.

She also welcomed the high commissioner's recent statement expressing deep concern over "the impact of recent actions by the Indian government on the human rights of Kashmiris.
