FEDERAL GOVT RELEASES RS9B FOR AJK DEVELOPMENT: AJK PM

AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan says tourism corridor project will bring prosperity and development in the state.

 

Addressing office bearers and workers of PML-N at Chakkar in Jhelum Valley on Tuesday, he said the corridor will change the destiny of people particularly Jhelum Valley, Bagh, Rawalakot and Muzaffarabad.

He said the Federal government has released nine billion rupees under first two quarterly releases to be spent on development work, particularly in communication sector.

The AJK Prime Minister said under a comprehensive strategy existing roads are being upgraded while 10 kilometer long new roads would be completed in each constituency of the state.

Meanwhile, AJK Prime Minister presided over a review meeting about the rehabilitation of Kashmiri refugees living in Pakistan and refugees of 1979 in Muzaffarabad. 

Addressing the meeting, he said 80 million rupees have been approved to launch projects relating to sewerage, pavement of streets and water supply schemes in the Kashmir refugees camps. Work on these projects would be started within a month.
