In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference said that India is depriving Kashmiri people of all their basic rights to maintain its illegal occupation.

APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Indian government has enacted several laws including land and domicile laws to change the demography of the territory.

The spokesman said that India is targeting innocent civilians on the Line of Control to divert attention of the international community from the dire human rights violations in IIOJK.

He called upon the international community to play its role in resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and the UN Security Council resolutions.

An analytical report released by Kashmir Media Service, today, said India in violation of all international rules and regulations regarding a disputed territory took a series of moves to allow outsiders to settle and purchase land in occupied Jammu and Kashmir to change its Muslim majority status.

The report quoted a recent article by Mary Hunter, who is a research fellow at the London Institute of South Asia, to have drawn a comparison between the changing of demographics by India in IIOJK and Israeli settlements in occupied Palestine.

Meanwhile, Senior Congress leader Thakur Balbir Singh in a statement in Jammu criticized the Modi-led fascist Indian government for victimizing Kashmiri people and demanded revocation of new land laws.
