Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar says solarization project in Balochistan will help reduce line losses, curb electricity theft, improve energy efficiency and boost agriculture in province.

Chairing a meeting of Steering Committee on Solarization of Tubewells in Balochistan today, he underlined the need for ensuring efficacy of the project.

The Committee reviewed solarization process and discussed third-party verification to ensure transparency and preventing reinstallation of terminated connections.

Speaking on occasion, Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfaraz Bugti, appreciated solarization project as one of largest development projects in province’s recent history.

Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari and senior government officials attended meeting.
