Pakistan has reiterated support for Libya’s sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and national unity.

Speaking in the Security Council , Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the UN Munir Akram said Pakistan believes that lasting peace and stability in Libya can be achieved by holding free, fair, and transparent presidential and parliamentary elections as a priority.

He said that Pakistan will continue to support Libya, and the Libyan people will find us a steadfast partner in their march towards prosperity and development.
