Minister for National Health Services Abdul Qadir Patel has expressed the resolve to completely rid the country of polio.

He was talking to delegations of the French Agency for Development and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation that called on him in Islamabad on Friday.

The Minister said despite flood damages to health infrastructure, Pakistan has not diluted its focus from polio eradication. 

The delegation members appreciated the progress made by Pakistan last year and hailed the political commitment at all levels towards polio eradication.
