The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) have issued an advisory for the safety of motorists amid recent rains continuing in various parts of the country.

The NHMP have advised motorists that they should avoid unnecessary travel. It advised the road users to follow safety precautions while driving on wet roads to avoid vehicle slipping. It also asked the drivers to maintain a low speed and increase the safe distance of their vehicle from next vehicle while driving in wet weather.
