Executive Committee of Special Investment Facilitation Council has directed for swift implementation of key motorways and highways projects in Balochistan Punjab and Sindh.
The directives were issued at the 13th meeting of the Committee, which met in Islamabad today, with Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal in the chair.
The Committee particularly focused on completion of those highways and motorways which are connecting ports by utilizing private sector investments through public-private partnerships.
The meeting reviewed progress on various projects under key sectors of SIFC.
During the meeting, comprehensive plans were presented by various ministries for fast tracking the projects.
The Committee gave directions for expediting various pending cross-sectoral matters through policy level initiatives and stakeholders' consultation, utilising the forum of SIFC.
