Pakistan has welcomed the recent dialogue and diplomatic engagement towards attainment of peace in Yemen.

In a statement, Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch termed Saudi Arabia's efforts towards an amicable resolution of Yemen crisis as timely by reinforcing the efforts of Oman and the UN Special Envoy for Yemen.

She said it will promote peace, stability and development in the region.          

The spokesperson reiterated Pakistan's principled support for a political solution to the Yemen crisis through dialogue and consultation.
