Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar says strengthening of federating units is inevitable for a strong federation.

Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad on Thursday, he said provinces were given autonomy under the 18th constitutional amendment.

The Deputy Prime Minister said Pakistan is blessed with immense natural resources, with all provinces  having unique strengths and potentials.

He said these provincial strengths should be optimally utilized for the development of the country.

The Deputy Prime Minister said continuity of policies and political stability are necessary for development of the country.
