England and Wales Cricket Board chairman Colin Graves says, the new 100-ball competition is being proposed to attract young people to cricket.
Talking to media, he said the proposed concept of 15 traditional six-ball overs and a final 10-ball over would attract more people towards the game.
He said the matches would be 20 balls shorter than T20 format.
The ECB Chairman said, this shorter and simpler format will be easy to undestand for the spectators.
The 100-ball format was proposed in April but has had a mixed reaction from players and fans.
