As Muslims across the United States are celebrating Eid ul-Azha, the President Joe Biden has acknowledged the grave situation of the Palestinians living under Israeli siege and unable to practice their religious obligations.

In a message released by the White House, he said this year, Eid al-Azha comes at a difficult time for many Muslims around the world. He said innocent civilians are suffering the horrors of the war in Gaza.

Joe Biden, in his message, also addressed Muslim communities impacted by the conflict in Sudan and the Rohingya in Myanmar, stressing that they deserve to live free from violence and fear.

He also pledged his administration's commitment to addressing the scourge of Islamophobia in the United States.

Meanwhile, in New York, the main Eid congregation was held at the Islamic Centre where diplomats accredited to the United Nations also participated.

Special prayers were offered for the liberation of Palestine and Kashmir.

In areas such as Brooklyn where Pakistanis are concentrated, prayers were also offered for the well-being and progress of Pakistan while voicing their full support for the Palestinian and Kashmiri peoples.
