Vice Chancellor Karakorum International University (KIU) Gilgit Dr. Attaullah Shah said that efforts are underway to bring KIU at par with other universities in the country.

This he said while addressing a function held in KIU Ghizer campus on Tuesday.

He said President of Pakistan will visit Hatoon to inaugurate the Ghizer campus soon.

He said work on construction of first women campus in Gilgit would be initiated soon after allotment of land from Provincial Government.

He said eighty PHD faculty staff is rendering services in KIU and it will be increased to one hundred within next two years.

He said computer sciences and media sciences courses would be introduced in Ghizer campus from upcoming academic session.
