The Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) has dropped Myanmar's Army General, who seized power in the country in February, from inviting in an annual summit of regional leaders this month.

The ASEAN agreed to invite a non-political representative from Myanmar instead of Gen Min Aung Hlaing.
