Islam is a religion of peace and Islamic scholars are the pillars of Islam. Some elements link terrorism with Islam, but it is completely unfair as the terrorism is forbidden in every religion. The Chief of Army Staff, in his address to the Ulema and Mashaikh, motivated them to promote peace and harmony through the teachings of Islam. Ulema and Mashaikh can play an important role in character building of the youth through the teachings of Quran and Sunnah.

Maulana Tayyab Qureshi (Religious Scholar):

Today was an important day in the history of Pakistan. All the Ulema and Mashaikh of all schools of thought developed a mutual consensus and condemned extremism, terrorism and sectarianism and pledged their continued support to bring peace and harmony in the country. No one will be allowed to destabilize Pakistan by any means. The Army Chief clarified that there is no space for intolerance and extreme behavior by any entity against anyone, particularly against minorities and vulnerable segments of the society. The Army Chief is very close to the religion and his address can be viewed in the light of teachings of our religion.

Dr. Shahid Hassan Siddiqi (Economist):

China has invested a heavy amount of 25 billion dollars in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor project. China has opened new venues of connectivity through Belt and Road Initiative and the need of the hour is to take maximum advantage of it. The caretaker government is taking right measures through mobilization of tax and attracting foreign investment in different projects. The government should also motivate the local investors to invest in CPEC. The upcoming government should ensure the continuity of economic policies in the best interest of the country. The Russian conflict with Ukraine and Israeli aggression on Gaza created uncertainty in the international market. Once the situation becomes normal, I am hopeful for heavy foreign investment in our country.
