Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi says through consultations at the OIC ministerial conference, we will try to develop an institutional mechanism for effective delivery of immediate assistance to the Afghan people. 

Talking to newsmen at Islamabad International Airport Friday afternoon, he said our focus will be timely provision of humanitarian aid to the people in need in Afghanistan.

He said our guests are arriving and we are thankful to the OIC secretariat for coordinating with us for successful conduct of this conference.

The Foreign Minister said the understanding between Pakistan and OIC secretariat for this conference will be very useful in future.

He expressed satisfaction over the all-out arrangements made for the conference.
