The 57th death anniversary of renowned Kashmiri leader Raees-ul-Ahrar and Quaid-e-Millat Chaudhary Ghulam Abbas was observed on Tuesday.
The day dawned with special prayers for the soul of late Chaudhary Ghulam Abbas, the prosperity of the country and early liberation of the Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir.
The main function of Quran Khwani was held at his Mazar in Faizabad Rawalpindi.
The Quran recitation ceremony was attended by Muslim Conference President and former Prime Minister Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan and other political and social figures from different walks of life.
Special prayers were also offered for the unity, Independence of Kashmir and Palestine, the martyrs of the Pakistan armed forces and the martyrs of the Kashmir freedom movement.
