The 30th death anniversary of great Sufi intellectual, teacher, writer and poet Wasif Ali Wasif is being observed on Wednesday.

Wasif Ali Wasif is known for his unique literary style.    

His book "Kiran Kiran Suraj" containing aphorisms remained best seller for many years.

His most notable books include Shabe Chiragh and Dil Darya Samundar served as a treasure of wisdom.

He died on this day in 1993.
