The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to release imported wheat stored in godowns across the province.
The decision was taken in a meeting in Peshawar today chaired by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Food Zahir Shah Toru.
The minister said over seventy-seven thousand metric tons of imported wheat is stored in different godowns across the province.
He said the government has will release the wheat to operational flour mills at a price of two thousand four hundred rupees per forty kilograms.
Zahir Shah Toru directed for constituting a monitoring committee to ensure transparency in the process.
