Karakoram Highway has been closed at Hassanabad Hunza for all types of traffic as a precautionary measure to avoid any untoward situation due to Shishper Glacial Lake Outburst. 

According to Deputy Commissioner Hunza Fiaz Ahmed traffic has been diverted from Murtazabad Hunza toward SAS Valley Nagar as alternate road.

Meanwhile, Spokesperson to Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Ali Taj said all concerned departments are on high alert to deal with any untoward situation as a result of Shishper Glacial Lake Outburst.
