Central Development Working Party has approved six development projects worth 16.904 billion rupees for national development.

The CDWP met in Islamabad today with Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal in the chair.

It recommended another six major projects with a cumulative cost of 418.761 billion rupees to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council for further consideration.

While reviewing the power sector projects, Ahsan Iqbal said that energy security remains one of the central pillars of the government's "URAAN Pakistan" initiative, which seeks to accelerate economic growth, industrial competitiveness, and sustainable development.
