Pakistan has termed Xinjiang, Hong Kong and Tibet related issues as China's internal affairs.
This was announced by Permanent Representative of Pakistan Ambassador Munir Akram on behalf of the Second Group of Countries under Agenda Item titled "Promotion and Protection of Human Rights during third Committee of Plenary Session at United Nations.
He further opposed politicization of human rights and double standards and interference in internal affairs of China under the pretext of human rights.
Munir Akram maintained that all parties should abide by the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations, adhere to the principles of universality, impartiality, objectivity and non-selectivity.
He said that human beings are facing multiple challenges and the international community should uphold multilateralism, strengthen solidarity and coordination, and respond jointly to global challenges, advance world peace and development, and promote and protect human rights.
