Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb says government's prudent economic policies have led to substantial improvement in all sectors.
In a televised statement, he said the government is committed to building on the hard-earned macro-stability to further strengthen the economy of the country.
The Finance Minister expressed hope that the size of the country’s economy will be three trillion dollars by 2047, which is currently standing at 300 billion dollars.
He said the government has demonstrated fiscal discipline and introduced economic reforms and the country's economy has now stabilized.
Talking about the recent visit of the IMF delegation to Pakistan, he said it is an ongoing dialogue process, and discussions were held on energy and SOE reforms, the privatization agenda, and public finance.
He also mentioned his engagements with his counterparts from various countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, China, Turkiye, the US treasury and officials of various rating agencies.
Regarding revenue and taxation, he said the government is firm on compliance and enforcement and every sector will have to play its due role in this regard.
