Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has taken a strong exception to PTI leader Zaheer Abbas Khokhar's request seeking date in a petition filed again him at an election tribunal.

In a statement, the Information Minister said his lawyers appeared in the election tribunal today fully prepared with all necessary documents. On the other hand, he said the other party has no evidence or proof in support of their claims.

He said Zaheer Abbas Khokhar had challenged his election victory, questioning why he was not facing the tribunal now. He said by repeatedly asking for delays, they are deliberately stalling the process. If they do not have evidence, they should admit that they have committed a mistake.

The Information Minister said it has become their pattern to first file a case and then escape from the court.
