In the first One Day International of three-match series, Pakistan defeated South Africa by three wickets at Paarl, last night.

Batting first, South Africa scored 239 runs for the loss of nine wickets in fifty overs.

In reply, Pakistan achieved the target in 49.3 overs.

Pakistan lead the series 1-0.

Second One Day International between the two teams will be played at Cape Town tomorrow.

The match will start at 5 p.m. of Pakistan Standard Time.
