SBP launches new version of Electronic Credit Information Bureau

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has launched a new version of its Electronic Credit Information Bureau (eCIB), referred as the eCIB System (V2).

The new system, set to become operational from 1st January, next year, will replace the existing eCIB system.

This upgrade has been designed to align with global best practices, technological advancements, and reporting standards to enhance the country's credit reporting framework.

The new eCIB System (V2) introduces several additions and modifications to the Credit Information Report, aiming to make it more comprehensive and detailed. This change will contribute to better credit risk assessments and enhance financial transparency across the banking sector.
