The 21st death anniversary of a renowned Pakistani film actor, director and producer Sudhir or Lala Sudhir was observed on Friday, January 19.

Sudhir's real name was Shah Zaman Khan and he was born in 1921 in Lahore and died on 19 January 1997.

He was awarded by Nigar Awards in 1970, 1974, 1981 and Best Actor Award for film Lottery as well as Special Award for 30 years of excellence.

Sudhir was a highly respected film personality. He is the only actor of early Pakistani cinema whose film career has been preserved.

He is known as the first action hero of Pakistani cinema. His film roles symbolized valour and bravery.
