The 27th death anniversary of a legend in the Pakistani film industry and iconic actor Sudhir is being observed on Friday.
Born as Shah Zaman in Lahore in 1922, Sudhir's early passion for films drew him into the Pakistani film industry during his youth.
Sudhir's debut film, 'Hichkoley,' marked the beginning of a remarkable career. During the same era, his film 'Dopatta' gained significant popularity, showcasing him alongside Noor Jahan. In 1956, the films 'Mahi Manda' and 'Yakay Wali' elevated Sudhir to the pinnacle of his cinematic career. Throughout his career, he displayed his acting prowess in over 200 films.
Sudhir passed away on January 19, 1997, in Lahore. He rests in peace at the Defense Society Cemetery in Lahore.
