Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Engineer Amir Muqam says Pakistan is keen to further strengthen its cooperation with the Netherlands in various fields.

He was talking to the Ambassador of Netherlands to Pakistan, Henny Fokel de Vries, who called on him in Islamabad today (Wednesday).

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest and bilateral relations between Pakistan and the Netherlands came under discussion.

Engineer Amir Muqam said Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with the Netherlands and wants to further enhance it.

Regarding the Afghan refugees, the Minister said Pakistan has been hosting Afghan refugees for several decades. He said a policy is being pursued for the repatriation of illegally residing Afghan nationals.

In her remarks, the Dutch Ambassador said the government of Netherlands values its longstanding relationship with Pakistan and looks forward to continuing the 75-year-old partnership through various development programmes.
