Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan, Engineer Amir Muqam, has urged the outlawed Joint Awami Action Committee to end its protest and engage in negotiations to resolve the issues.

He was addressing a news conference along with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Azad Kashmir leaders in Islamabad this afternoon.

Engineer Amir Muqam said talks were held with the banned Action Committee last month and quick implementation on the demands, which were agreed upon, was ensured.

However, the Committee opted to the path of protest and even did not attend a single meeting of the legal committee, constituted following the negotiations.

The Minister said the banned Action Committee wants to damage the Kashmir cause.
