Member Punjab Assembly Imran Javed says provoncial government has presented a balanced and people-friendly budget for the fiscal year 2026-27.

In an interview with Radio Pakistan correspondent Qasim Bukhari, he said no new taxes have been imposed in the budget, while substantial allocations have been made for key sectors, including health, education and public welfare.

He said the government is set to launch 100 billion rupees "Generation Punjab" initiative to empower young people by enhancing their skills, creating employment opportunities and promoting entrepreneurship.
