The 50th death anniversary of renowned Urdu poet Saghar Siddiqui was observed on Friday.
His real name was Muhammad Akhtar. He was born in Ambala in 1928.
He migrated to Pakistan after partition and settled in Lahore.
Saghar Siddiqui started writing poetry at a very young age. He wrote ghazals for films and also published a literary magazine.
Saghar Siddiqui died on this day in 1974 and was buried in Lahore.
