France has strongly condemned human rights violations in Afghanistan on the completion of five years of Taliban rule.

According to a statement issued by the French Foreign Ministry, the situation in Afghanistan is deteriorating day by day under the Taliban regime, posing a threat to regional stability as well.

It called on the Afghan Taliban regime to fulfil its international commitments.

The French Foreign Ministry said relations with the Taliban are unlikely to be normalized until human rights are upheld and terrorism is eliminated.
